Dear Jagannath Ji:

You have correctly described this.

One can find good and bad G{g} uru's existing side by side in India in

thousands.

A Hashish smoker, with red swollen eyes and matted hairs, sitting semi-nude in a

circle doing some tantra rituals and acting as a

healer and a part time doctor, with scores of patients visiting him

every morning and evening, including those who are well read and

believe that the Sadhu has miraculous powers or knowledge of roots

and herbs or can heal a patient even by directing bellowing fumes of

smoke emitting out from his Chillam are the one's who are respected

by their deciples.

However, they keep changing the place and appear with new set of

followers every now and then because of the tricks that they play

are not enough to keep their deciples spellbound and believers for a

long time.

On other hand, we find saints and Guru's who do not count the number

of their deciples and are not in compitition with anyone. They seem

composed, loving and willing to meet anyone who approaches them and

try to do everything that they possibly could do. Their words and

sermon preach and indicate a direction and they do not claim that

they have powers to heal. Such knowledgeable and humble Gurus who

are compassionate and are in tune with Nature and God are however,

much outnumbered today..

A genuine Guru, must conform to the qualities that we ascribe to

Godhead. The basic virtures emphasized in every revealed faith eg.,

free from envy, greed, hatred and lust, mostly occupied with is issues of his

salvation and keen to re-kindle spirits that upliftand

heal humanity are the qualities par-excellent that we must find in

such genuoine savants.

Loveful regards

Ashok

cure-all.

> The entire fake Guru industry is based around this insecurity.
