Guest guest
In this group we have seen several posts in which fatty acids are discussed along with their health benifits. In this connection a recent research finding appears noteworthy. Adding arachidonic acid, a common omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, to culture media causes prostate cancer cells to grow twice as fast as usual, according to a report in the February 1st issue of Cancer Research. Read a short article giving summary of this finding at http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=healthNews&storyID=2006-02-1\ 0T172623Z_01_COL062760_RTRUKOC_0_US-OMEGA-CANCER.xml&archived=False [Copy entire three lines together into browser window to corectly access the article] Dr Bhate
Guest guest
I've been very interested in this research. Here is an excellent article on why this happens, and the other effects of the imbalanced omega 6/3 ratio: http://peacefullivinghhc.com/omega3s.htm Thanks!
