Guest guest
Hello Dr.Bhate Thanks very much for giving me a concern. I am 32. I have been using Dantaraj for more than 12years or so. This sesitivity have just begun from the past 15 days. Before it used to pain on one of the molar tooth. Now there's a big dent/hole there as the paining tooth gradually broke day by day. And I started using Dantaraj for the same purpose. And it proved very useful to me. I had no problems with my teeth of any nature till now. But one day I just ate a Guava and its seed just pierced into the gap between the teeth. I removed the intruder but from the days to follow, about 5 days after I had the Guava my teeth turned sensitive. The area where the seed pierced is highly sensitive. And I have to stop eating from that side, the left side, of the jaw. And none of my teeth are removed still. Please tell me some remedy. Thanks a million Doctor. Waiting for your reply. Guest guest
Dear Bhagat, in your case it appears that the nerve ends are exposed due to dent/hole. The microbes in the tooth cavity are very tough. See messages No. 5712, 5721,5722 on akkalkara already appeared on ayurveda. Under these circumstances, pain relief will be only temporary. But repeated attempts will kill microbes, no matter how tough. If getting akklakara is difficult for you, for pain relief, you can use either clove oil, Bhimsen Kapur (Camphor). Eucaliptus oil. The oils can be used by taking a little cotton ball, soak in oil and press it in the hole/cavity in the molar. Gargling using self/cow urine is also one effective way, should you not have nausea with these substances. Initially gargeling with salty turmeric water can also be tried, but may not be very effective as urine therapy. Some home remedies are being suggested here not only for you, but for benifits of other members too, who may get tooth pain some time. To relieve pain, chew mango leaves or apply turmeric or drink juice of green coriander seeds twice a day. For relief from pain rub clove powder mixed with lemon juice. To relieve pain of spoilt/broken teeth gargle with asafoetida water. Take sesame oil with salt on the palm, with the help of a finger rub that oil on the gums and teeth. Brush teeth with the mix. of oil, lemon juice and salt to get relief from toothache, yellowness of teeth and stop blood coming out from the teeth. When suffering from tooth decay, gargle with salt water repeatedly to get relief. Fill cavity with the mixture of grinded clove and camphor or cinnamon and asafoetida to get relief. If you see the dentist, and if he suggests amlagam filling, go for ordinary cement filling or extraction as a last resort. Amalgam filling and root canal are roots of auto-immune diseases, as net search will tell you. In similar situation, a friend dentist did ordinary cement filling and steel cap for this author, where possible, and extracted the tooth where not adequate tooth was left for any reconstruction. His advise is what is being passed on in this post. Dr Bhate ayurveda, Bhgat <bhgat9 wrote: > I am 32. Guest guest
When I have a similar problem (or any other other with teeth) I use very salty water - not just for rinsing, but hold it for 10-15 minutes. And also the root of the plant called sweet flag (Acorus calamus) - either hold its piecs in the mouth or use its tincture for rinsing (added to some water, better salty). As for salt, creatures living in salty waters are the only lucky ones to be free from teeth problems. [Moderators addition: The last sentence is interesting; moderator would like to modify it as: As for salt, creatures living in salty waters are the only lucky ones to be free from teeth problems and asthma]
