Dear Bala,

When my daughter was in the womb we used to play all types of clssical music on

a portable stereo at fairly loud volume and speakers were kept very closed to

her mother's body. The music included Hindustani Classical, Carnatic Classical

and Western classical. This was done meticulously through out my wife's

pregnancy. And my wife cooperated with me for all my enthusiasm...

Today she is just 8yrs and has developed a "very good ear" for all types of

classical music!!! So our efforts were not all that waste of time.

The music pieces that were played frequently were by Mallikarjun Mansoor,

Kesarbai Kerkar, L. Subramanium, Emani Shankar Shastri, Beethoven (9th symphony)

and Mozart...
