Guest guest
AYURVEDIC/CHINESE FOOD LIST INTRODUCTION I compiled this booklet for people who wish to eat healthier; People dedicated to taking control of their health. We live in a time where health care is motivated by money, not health, and still has the illusion of being advanced; a health care system just a few hundred years old, controlled by pharmaceutical companies is not the answer. Perhaps you’ve heard that the average person eats ten pounds of pesticides a year… A corps takes three times longer to decompose because of the preservatives in our food… and the average person is starting to lose their sex drive between twenty and thirty years of age because of the hormones in our meat. There’s no doubt about it, if you want to grow old, be healthy, live a full, long and happy life, it is important that you take responsibility for your own health, and become your own physician. More importantly, set the example for your children, so they and their children may benefit. This booklet is not meant to be read from cover to cover, but used as a reference; although, if inclined to do so, it would give you a good sense of the doshic {attribute} involvement in relationship through taste. As you read further and there is no mention of Chinese attributes then Ayurveda takes presidents here. If you are unfamiliar with Ayurveda I suggest you read “Perfect health” by Deepak Chopra to get you started. To learn Ayurveda would benefit you and your family tremendously. It was Hippocrates who said! “Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food”. I hope this is helpful in your quest for heath …….. Noel [Added by moderator: The list of foods covers most food items and combination eaten world over. The size of the compilation is more than 100 pages. In order that it does not get in a large number of messages on arhieves, moderator stored in the file Ayurvedic_Chinese_Food_List in folder 'Articles' on group website. To see or download the file click on: http://health.ayurvedaarticles and then click on the filename 'Ayurvedic_Chinese_Food_List' By understanding this list, you will easily know which foods should be chosen under what conditions. By connecting the food properties to tastes, the understanding their influence on doshic balance becomes quite easy. Those who wish to learn and understand Ayurveda, download the file to your computer for permanent reference.
