Usually acute and deep depression is a symptom associated with psoriasis. I am not a doctor but with my limited experience I can tell you that you must concentrate more on internal cleansing to mitigate the skin problem. You must also be very careful about your diet and daily habits like having regular good sleep, bowel habits etc. I am happy that you have found an ayurveda group instead of trying your luck with steroidal allopathic creams. Very recently it has been revealed in a research paper that treating eczema/psoriasis with strong creams severely compromises the immune system of the body. If you are using such creams or strong mercury/sulphur applications not ayurvedically prepared then kindly discontinue as they will increase your depression and also affect you in other ways. Today on Astha channel (Swami Ramdev's programme)a patient suffering from psoriasis revealed how he recovered with pranayama and ayurveda. I hope you and your family members too are cured similiarly. Guest guest Posted February 4, 2006 Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 Dear Dhruv, Yes ofcourse nearly 10% of my consultations are being on psoriasis.Ayurveda certainly does have treatment to cure this.And yet it needs a thorough examination by means of Ayurvedic perspectives, of the inddvidual case and tratment plan. If i think with my ayurvedic mind ,the root cause of such diseases becoming inherited could be, what i say is the culprit"AMAA". None other than this. There is a much deeper explanation why ama is inherited and causing such diseases, and congenital anomalies. Of course it would be an acadamic disussion which is not to be dealt right now. Any now dear dhruv, do not worry you need to provide all the health information of your family and your's.
