Guest guest
This is the fashion statement of the MLM year - I would like to send a picture of the Australian Kangaroo Apple (Solanum aviculare) ripening in my garden at the moment - next week - to see if any of you consider this to be the same plant as the Goji please ........... doubtless it has immune boosting properties: (Ref:) http://www.museum.vic.gov.au/forest/plants/apple.html There are many commercial references to the Goji berry on the net ....... I found some commercial Goji berry juice in a fridge at work and drank some - it had no noticeable impact on me that I could detect. Guest guest
goji is lycium barbatum, or wolfberry - it is not a solanaceae used as a blood restorative in chinese medicine, it is a wonderful food for reducing vata and nourishing the blood esp. good as a post-partum restorative they look like red raisins when dry, and have a pleasant flavor the 'goji juice' hype however is just that while not as common in ayurveda, they are super cheap in chinese herb shops they can be decocted down to make a kind of herbal syrup, or added to food (like morning porridge) todd caldecott On 31-Jan-06, at 5:16 AM, ayurveda wrote: > "Jane MacRoss" <HIGHFIELD I would like to > send a picture of the Australian Kangaroo Apple (Solanum aviculare) > ripening in my garden at the moment - next week - to see if any of > you consider this to be the same plant as the Goji > please
