Dear doctors,

There is a habit of using the honey with Luke-warm/hot water for obesity. Is

it advisable?

Acc. to ayurveda texts Honey is not used with hot-water/ushna deham/hot

climate, it is used in Luke warm in vamana and vasti preparations as honey will

come out before digestion.

In Siddha system of medicine the honey is purified by heating process.

what about the views of honey by other system of medicines?

dear friends,

According to ayurveda, honey shoud should never to be used heated directly or

indirectly internally is it devolopes toxicity when heated, exept when performing

basty (enema). If you reduce weight by using Honey it is probably because of the

toxic effect of heated or warm honey. better any body can resort to non heated

honey as it is kapha samana or weight reducing.
