Guest guest
Hi all, It is regarding ban of ayurvedic medicine in foreign countries. Firstly, there are lots of medicines in ayurveda that use mercury, sulpher, and other metals and minerals (depends on disese). each and every metal/mineral must be purified by the ayurvedic method. Though the no. of indian companies follow ayurvedic purification methods, the test result of that medicine is dangerous because the test that undergoes through the allopathic standards. unfortunatly there are no any standards in ayurveda to test ayurvedic medicine, so there exists a need to make ayurvedic standards for testing of ayurvedic drug. Ayurveda is total and complete science and also think about environment where the patients live. But one thing is that, a number of Indian Doctors and vaidyas treat their patients through same medicines, and have not yet seen side effect of ayurvedic drug. If in foreign countries, if there is any case of side effect, it may be because of enviornment. ok bye mypappuslaya <no_reply> wrote: New York bans sale of 3 Indian herbal products December 31, 2005 10:21 IST Last Updated: December 31, 2005 10:24 IST New York City has banned the sale of three Indian herbal products and advised people against using them, claiming they contain dangerous levels of lead or mercury. read complete article at http://us.rediff.com/money/2005/dec/31drug.htm?q==bp&file==.htm
Guest guest
Mypappuslaya, Mercury and Sulphur are essential ingredients of several Ayurvedic medicines made in "Rasshastra" branch of ayurveda. Some of these medicines are extremely potent when chronic diseases of Central Nervous system are involved and tackle problems where modern science has no solution. Our member Dr Vidhyasagar uses Gandhak Rasayana for leucoderma to scabies and eczema to psoriasis. He is most appropriate Siddha doctor on this list to give you his experience on Mercury based medicines. No adverse reaction, morbidity or death has been reported so far in India, nor abroad which could be linked to "mercury" in Ayurvedic medicine. Though New York picked up only three medicines, hundreds of medicine will be available with Mercury in your neighborhood. And this author has a good experince with Jambrulin, where a Type 2 Diabetic (for 15 years) patients insulin dose reduced from 40 units to 3 units per day after he was given Jambrulin for three months. His renal function improved from something like 350 ml urine output per day to 1500 ml per day. Systolic B.P. dropped from nearly 170 to 120-130 in three months. Medicne expenditure reduced to 15%. This bed ridden patient before starting of jambuulin, now walks 1 km per day after three months time. ONe most important fact which increased efficacy of Jambrulin was Panch Gavya medicines along with Jambrulin. This wonderful result of Jambrulin, can it be attributed to lead found in Newyork sample? Since ayurvedic medicines are not simple chemical compounds working inside humna body as a reactor vessel, it is difficult to say! A large volume of info on mercury in rasashastra can be obtained by doing web search on "kajjali", the compound of Mercury and Sulphur used in many medicines. Sulphur kills toxicity of mercury effectively. Most places where mercury is used in ayurveda, it is used in this way only, after killing its toxicity. The affinity between Mercury and Sulphur is next to affinity between Hydrogen and Oxygen, their combination making the basis sustaining human life. Your own research will tell you the truth about mercury. . Now that ayurveda is attracting world attention, attempts to malign it in this fashion will help India only, since shrinking of exports will make medicines for Indians in India less expensive. We in India see this as an effort by Big Pharma to suppress spread of ayurveda in West. Since Mercury in vaccines is creating problems, they see mercury in water, fish, in air, everywhere. If western society wishes to fall for this propoganda, it is their free will. On the other hand if you want to iresearch on effect of mercury on children (e.g. Thimersol) you may join the list "autism-mercury" (). It is a VERY high volume list though, so consider setting up with "no email" or "daily digest". (It is about 80 messages a day). After you join you can take a look at the FILES there. And why worry so much about mercury when many more low toxic products are getting into todays intelligent children: http://www.psychicchildren.co.uk/Update1.html Dr Bhate ayurveda, mypappuslaya <no_reply> wrote: > > New York bans sale of 3 Indian herbal products > > December 31, 2005 10:21 IST > Last Updated: December 31, 2005 10:24 IST > > New York City has banned the sale of three Indian herbal products > and advised people against using them, claiming they contain > dangerous levels of lead or mercury. > > The New York City department of health and mental hygiene says on > testing, it has found that "Jambrulin made by Unjha Ayurvedic > Pharmacy contains 24,300 ppm of lead, Lakshmivilash Ras (nardiya) > made by Baidyanath contains 14,100 ppm of mercury and Maha > Sundarshan made by Arya Aushadhi Pharmaceutical Works contains 2,190 > ppm of mercury". > > read complete article at > > http://us.rediff.com/money/2005/dec/31drug.htm?q=bp&file=.htm >
Guest guest
Dear Estimed Doctors in this group, You have mistaken my post. Infact it was my mistake not explaining my intension of this post. I totally believe in these medicines and I would take any of them if given by an ayurvedic doctor. My concerns are 1. Why should we allow people to get a wrong impression on ayurveda? 2. Why can't something be done to establish something so that these misconceptions are removed. 3.Why can't there be some tests to prove that these are not harmful. 4. Why can't the indian government/some one raise to make people undertand better about ayurveda. It is very difficult for me to see people losing the benefits of ayurveda because of some stupid news like this.
