Guest guest
Hi, There had been a long discussion on Maha Mrityunjaya mantra in the group. I want to know if any body has used it and observed any effect. Not even just this mantra, any mantra one has practised and got positive health benefit. I could find various sites which talk about benefits of mantras but could not find any site or place where people has shared their experiences. Please share ur experience, it may help others to cure their diseases. Rgds, Dev
Guest guest
Dear Dev ji Namaskar Your query is beautiful…. You know mantra is not only for health benefit but see it as a whole. Do you remember your childhood whenever you suffered from fever how did your mother keep her palm on your forehead and just prayed what was that…..What would you call that..On every step in our life we play with sound We nourish with sound. What’s the sound of river..chirping sound ,sound of trees. What is that…..only Divine commune. Just see the sound A U M.The whole world resides in three letters.Just attune your inner and delve deep in Divine bliss.Without delving deep how can you know the depth of ocean and explanation of Divinity is beyond words. You know what is MANTRA-TANTRA MANTRA= MAN+TRA >From manana (thinking) arises MAN TRA from trana means liberation from the bondage of the samsara or world. Man - pure Consciousness, inner self, Tra - endlessness Tan - pure consciousness, physical self, inner self You know mantras are not for physical healing only.It opens the door of Divine bliss. The moment you trust and surrender then inner layers open.Mantras are door way for self realization. There are so many souls in Divine family who shares the Divine thoughts for inner growth. One day a humble soul asked questions regarding mantras. My SatGuru Maharaj answered in such a beautiful manner. He poured Divine knowledge- “Mantra is successful only when you are able to cross the state of Pranayama. Now the questions comes why? Let us take the example of Gayatri Mantra it is to be done with 27 Mudras and six Bandhanas(tying knots)of the prana.Every Mantra sadhana has lot of process of breathing patterns and also the process of cleansing the mind body and soul, that means a person has to pass through the process of Yama, Niyama and Asana to reach this state of mind and development. Without the proper following of the Yama -- Niyama cannot be followed and without the proper following of Yama and Niyama -- Asana cannot be performed. Unless Asana is controlled Pranayama cannot be done and so on. Thus unless you have control over pranayama you will be never able to do Mantra Sadhana. Please donot confuse chanting of Mantra with Mantra Sadhana, chanting is like a prayer, while Mantra Sadhana is a process of controlling the God/ Goddess of the Mantra itself. Mantra chanting can be done anyone but Sadhana can be done by few only. Sadhana is a risky area and one mistake you will have to face the music as it is the pure power of nature that you try to control and this is not easily given to you. I have seen people chanting mantras, writing mantras millions of times but even they do not take chances of doing sadhana with the mantras. Mantra chanting like Ram-Ram, Maha mantra of Lord Krishna all can be chanted anytime but doing sadhana is difficult. I am not saying this to create fear or making a person dejected but then human mind is weak and it takes ages of practice and persuance to have control over the mind then sadhana can be done. Mantra chanting can be somehow related to dharana at a gross level as with the mantra you would be looking at the picture or photograph of the deity. It is in this stage people use tools for mantra like Jaap mala, photographs, mats etc---dharana. Mantra dhyana is a higher state process where the mantras go on working within you for you everymoment of time. Once this mantra permeates in every cell of your living, non-living cells you reach a state of samadhi. Bhakti is a higher state of mantra chanting, where again you start with bhakti tools like idols, mantra, songs etc. The deity becomes a lover to you and you flow in the love this love is unconditional-Dharana. As the time goes this divine loves flows in every cell of the individual and then a state of Dhyana happens. The flow of the bhakti is divine at this level and then a state is reached where there is no difference between the bhakt(devotee) and the God. They merge this is a state of samadhi. Dharana, dhyana, and samadhi together is called samyama. By the mastery of samyama comes the light of knowledge. Its practice is to be accomplished in stages. Now we again move back to Mantra Siddhi:Once you have reached a state of Mantra Siddhi then you can move over to Tantra. Now the Tantra is nothing you would require to do now it just happens as by the time you have achieve mantra siddhi you would be part of the divine and everything you do becomes a tantric process..in the initial levels the Yantra also plays a very important role but later on you become the yantra, the nature is the tantric process and the Ananth Nada is the MAntra which flows. Tantra again I would like to say is not related to the material aspect. Totkas, lower tantric rituals are for material gains but for spiritual gains much more has to be known. Regarding Dhyana, every act of yours is a dhyana when Pratyahara is there with dharana, but then in Mantra and other process Pratyhara has to happen to reach a state of Dhyana. Dhyana is a three tier process one which happens at the gross body level, second which happens at the mental level and the third which happens at the spiritual level. At the body level dhyana is nothing more than pratyhara and dharana. At the mental level it is like Bhakti which is unconditional, it is like mantra dhyana where nothing of the body remains. And the third state is reached when your mind and body both merge into one with the divine this is the state of Samadhi. There is no difference between dhyana and Bhakti they are similar to great extent. Mantra is a process of reaching a state of dhyana and this process is known as sadhana, tantra is again a process of reaching from the gross level to the mental level which in later period reaches the state of dhyana.” Infact Dev ji when an individual attunes with blessing of SatGuru Then he can delve deep to find his trueself. As you have asked about sharing of Divine thoughts,I have to tell you in soul searchers group Divine souls share Divine thoughts for inner developments and share Divine experiences. Guest guest
Hi Dev - I love the mahamrityunjaya manra! I notice it seems to have an effect on the base chakra; it is also the fastest means (for me anyway) to put me in a very deep meditative state. After I had been practicing it for a few months, I later found out from a vedic horoscope done for me that mahamrityunjaya was highly recommended for me due to my planet positions - it was typed out in red - twice! Hope that helps! Melissa ayurveda, "dev_ek_dost" <dev_ek_dost> wrote: > > Hi, > There had been a long discussion on Maha Mrityunjaya mantra in the > group. Guest guest
Dear Dev 90% skin diseases are exacerbated by mental stress and if you cool down your mind, remove doubts in your mind, the diseases will get defeated. Your two posts give the impression: Mantras are magic pills for every disease, but you have doubt if a certain mantra will work for a certain disese or not? Modern science has made every mind doubtful in this manner. You want testimonials of alternative health schemes or convincing research trials of modern medicine. Please think how a placibo works in a drug trial. In India, several spiritual Gurus will simply take some water from their water jug and sprinkle on you. Or they will take some ashes from holy fire, put them in paper bag and give it to devotee to take just 2 pinches and no more (it is very strong medicine) every morning. This placibo starts working due to devotees mind and shraddha and bhakti. Devotees friend who draged him into ashrama tells him that since ayurvedic herbs were burnt in Yagnya fire, the ash is a "Bhasma". Guru need not have piercing eyes, a white beard or sandalwood ladden forehead for this effect. If you have love and affection for your mother, same effect will be achieved. Author recollecst a childhood event, when he was 8 years old. Author's father used to live two kilometers away from main town on a farm. A short cut to town used to pass through Muslim burrial ground. SInce this author used to boast that he is very adventurous, his friends set up a challenge. He was asked to pass though this long burrial ground at midnight of new moon day. Already rumors that several ghosts were seen in that ground. Author accepted the challenge. When actually went, he saw human like figures with reversed soles, skinny skeletons. High fear caught hold and he ran for life. When reached home, collapsed unconscious and next morning heavy fever. Everyone thought Shirish is possessed by Ghost. Vaidya was urgently called. ON regaining consciousness, Vaidya told, "repeat the challenge, but this time you will chant a Mantra 'Om Dram Dattatreyay Namha'. And author, on second attempt, neither saw any human skulls, heard any sounds except his own chanting. He kept on using this short cut through burrial ground till he was with his parents. Since then author never got any fever. So this is the mantra for defeating fever! And sure, every disease will be cured by any Mantra, if you are convinced first. Doubts, fears, anger, grief is all 'maya' created by our own mind!
