Guest guest
Dear Kannan, Yes a Vata type person can take "chilled milk with banana powder" if it is meant to supress pitta. How far it will help in reducing acidity is doubtful. If your doctor is sure that the acidity is because of excessive pitta than it will help you. If however it is because of vitiated pitta it might lead to more vitiation. You need to take pitta correcting substances like vasa (adulsa), liquorice etc. Another reason for acidity can be aggravated vata also. In such condition your position will worsen with the above said remedy. It might seem funny but drinking plain warm water (it should be warm while drinking)will help you in getting rid of the acidity. If you are right in your diagnosis of being a vata type person the third condition is most likely the cause of your acidity. Hence do consult your doctor again and take the right decision.
