Dear Members,

 

A doctor has advised `chilled milk mixed with banana powder' for hyper

acidity. I have heard that cold things aggravate VATA.

 

Kindly advise whether a VATA Type person can take chilled milk with

banana powder for acidity.

acidity. firstly, i am not a doctor to advise but i have my own and many people

first experience as a practioner of yoga. coming to the point, acidity is one

outcome for a person (1) if he is not regular in eating times (2) more of brain

activity(3) too much of thinking. many people are going to doctor and taking

medicines for that.

 

actually it is not a disease. normally hungry is one symptom that body

expresses. let us see how it happens. if you eat diet in particular time daily,

the body automatically secreets the acid at that particular time. people say

that they are hungry. if you take one tombler of water you can see that the acid

gets diluted and your hunger comes down to a certain limit. it indicates you

that time for food has come. but people normally ignores the call , due to lot

of snacks time of due to workload pressure.

 

no work will complete as you scheduled in any day. i have read one quote about

work. the nature of work is extends itself , seems to be within your reach

always, but never stop extending. it is true in my experience. if you eat only

at the time of lunch and regular in your timings, if you eat more fruits in your

diet i am sure without any medicine it will be set yourself. but at this

juncture you should not try that. first you eat some fruit and water as much as

at least once in two hours. and slowly extend it once in 3 hours to 4 hours etc.

for many people who work not much in physical activity, two meals is enough may

be you can take some fruit or liquid diet for the next meal. i will tell more

next time . bless you to get cure and happy and more than rejuvenated by

yourself. before you follow and settle in the new process, don't give up the

process right now you are undertaking. pranams

As you have been advised by doctors... you do.

My humble submission is if you can follow some kriyas

then you can improve wonderfully.

 

First improve your diet plan because it occurs due to

wrong food habits which you would be knowing best due

to which wrong food habits you are suffering.

 

Remember one thing our body is a temple where our

soul resides; if it is cleaned properly then three

humours (Vat,Pita Kapha) would be well

balanced. "Shauch" not external but internal also.

 

In yoga there are mentioned Shat Kriyas but for a

normal house wife it is not possible to do all. If you

can do Kunjal Kriya under supervision of a yoga master

or any naturopathy centre then you would relieve

a lot. In addition, if you would learn enema which is used

in naturopathy, then you would relieve a lot. The cause

of disease is abnormal abdomen.

 

As it has been said,"AHAAR SHUDDHI,SATTVA SHUDDHI".

 

As Vaidya ji said take plenty of water and coconut

water. Do breathing exercises. You would relieve. You

know every stroke of nature heals us. Just attune with

nature. Do asana. Go for walk.

I am a Yoga therapist working in a Research Institute. I think, when a

doctor advises you to take a particular medication, he should know

your lifestyle and establish the cause of acidity before he can

suggest the cure.

 

I am not telling you that he is wrong, but if the cause of your

acidity is mental activity, then any amount of milk with dry banana

powder will not help.

 

Hence, consult a doctor who will essentially combine Yoga and

Ayurveda. That will bring success.

Dear Mr Kannan

 

It is important to know which type of Vata person you are(V,KV or VP)

because if you have a Vata-Kapha constitution (the very coldest

constitution) chilled milk would certainly not be good. Also a highly

unbalanced Pitta/Kapha person may have symptoms like Vata. If you are

a Pitta/kapha person then banana would not be usefull as it will

produce some acid.

 

Barley Green is very good to balance an acidic condition.

 

Often your ayurvedic constitution can be judged from your Vedic Birth

chart. If you know your exact time of birth you may mail your

astrological data to me through

MudraMakers/

 

- then I may try to find a mudra for you to help you to neutralise the

acid.
