Western terms vs. Ayurvedic/Doshic terms and language

Dear Jagannath,

Yes, it is normal for most people to refer to their health issues in terms of

Allopathic/

Western medical terms. I am happy to consider and indeed put forth much effort

on your

request to make a file so that people can present their health issues in terms

of Ayurveda/

Doshic vitiation terms. The translation process from Western "disease" to

Ayurvedic

"Vikruti" is a topic in which I have great interest. I do have basic forms that

I have my

patients fill out so that I may know more about their Prakruti and Vikruti,

however, I am

not sure of what degree of help they would be for the average person asking help

from

this forum to express their Western diagnosis in terms of Doshic vitiation. I

will continue

to think about this, and welcome your's, and everyone's input on how this task

may be

accomplished. Please, any input is welcomed.

In contrast to this, my technique of diagnosis/evaluation of Vikruti/Prakruti

of my

patients is being present with the patient, feeling the pulse, evaluating the

tongue for Ama

or Nirama condition, and observing their overall energy-signature, voice, facial

energy,

and other subtle energies that their Doshic imbalances and Prakruti manifest. I

am not a

big believer in asking people questions about themselves on paper, as they tend

to answer

what that would like to think about themselves, instead of the facts that I am

after.

Maybe you can see the dilemma of having a "standard" file of which people can

read to

understand the totality of Ayurvedic terms.

I am very happy you asked me this, Jagganath, because the translation of Western

Diagnosis to Ayurvedic termanology/Vikruti is one of my greatest interests, and

one that I

would like to bring to the Western world. I believe Dr. Deepak Chopra, John

Douillard, Dr.

Vasant Lad and Dr. Robert Svoboda have done a wonderful job of this. I intend

on

following in their footsteps in bringing and translating Ayurveda to the West.

It may begin with a file on this forum. And then it may grow as a beautiful

technology that

all of mankind can benefit from. Let us put our heads together, and discuss

this further.

With Kindest Regards,
