Guest guest
Gagan, I presume you mean Plantar Fasciitis, which is inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thin layer of tough tissue supporting the arch of the foot. To reduce pain and help prevent future episodes of discomfort, stretch the calves on a regular basis. Stand with your hands against a wall. With one foot forward and one back, press against the wall, shifting weight over the front foot, while straightening the back leg. Keep the heel of the back foot on the floor and feel the stretch in the heel, Achilles tendon and calf. Then, switch legs. A similar stretch can be done by standing on a stair step with only the toes on the stairs. The back two-thirds of the feet hang off the step. Drop the heel down and put the weight on the heel. By leaning forward to balance, the heel, Achilles tendon and calf will be stretched. A similar stretch can be performed when standing where the heel is on the floor and the front part of the foot is on a wood 2x4 or even a 4x4 if one's foot is flexible enough. Stand and then raise up on the tips of the toes a few times. put a few marbles on the floor near a cup. Keep the heel on the floor and use the toes to pick up the marbles and drop them in the cup. Guest guest
Thanks Sir, for your reply . I have another question . My doctor has given me Celecoxib capsules along with one ointment . Also I am undergoing to a physiotherapist . Should I continue these medicines or I should go through the exercise only Regards' ' Gagan - Solo guy ayurveda Sunday, October 23, 2005 1:41 PM <ayurveda> FOOT PAIN Treatment of plantar fasciitis must begin with determining if the condition is primary or secondary plantar fasciitis. Primary plantar fasciitis makes up at least 90% of all cases of planar fasciitis.
Guest guest
Dear Gagan, Itz enough if you are going to physiotherapist, they will make u to undergo all the exerscises mentioned, just continue it. Take celecoxib if you appreciate to much of pain. You can take upto 2 capsules /day. When you start feeling better u may discontinue its use. 1. Reduce weight if u are obese 2. wear soft shoes/slippers 3. Don t walk on rough or uneven surface. Best, pal > Should I continue these medicines or I should go through the exercise only.
