Dear _______,

You have requested me to give more information on Pranayama and Mudra's. Mudra's

are finger postures that are VERY effective and take minimal effort. Just try

them and see, that's all I can venture to say. A good site that illustrates the

fingure postures;

Please go down the page to get the illustrations.

On pranayama the following is a very good site that I found. It is fairly

detailed. Yes, you can safely practice pranayama if you can watch a video

provided you don't overstress the retention of breath. Do it leisurely, in a

relaxed manner, and never hurry. If you live in the UK or USA can watch the

Astha (International) Channel for Swami Ramdevji's classes.

This site will also give you a lot of information on various alternate

therapies. Try not to combine them or self treat yourself. Choose the one that

is available to you, suits you and your budget and have a little patience.

I do not know anything about Tai Chi or any other breathing exercises. Maybe

somebody else on the ayurveda list may guide. As far as Reiki is concerned you

need to be initiated by a Reiki Master to be able to treat yourself, reading

will not do. The Yoga Nidra cassette I use is one by Times Music available in

India. You can check up with your music store to get a suitable one. A CD would

be better as you don't have to change the cassettes. Use a head phone for best

results.

Regards,

Jagannath.
