Guest guest
Greetings, I believe that children can benefit as well as anyone from the practice of Yoga Asana. I do not have kids, but my friends's children practice with them, and it is a wonderful experience for them as a family. No matter what style of Yoga Asana you practice, the Kundalini will rise. Kundalini Yoga seems to make this process happen much faster, and has thus been called by Yogi Bhajan a "technology", rightly so. Again, as with all of these posts on Pranayam and Kundalini energy, the most important thing is that an experienced teacher be present to instruct properly. Personally, I would not advise that any child practice Kundalini Yoga. However, I am not an expert on it. I practice Yoga as taught by Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati, which focuses on relaxation, involving lots of Sivasana between each posture. I would deem this appropriate for some children. However, as Ayurveda teaches us, we are all unique. Some children may have the capacity to benefit from Yoga, while others would not. I also read somewhere that there was a woman who called herself practioner and she tries to raise the Kundalini serpent in children.
