Guest guest
Dear members We have in our archives a number of posts dealing with C-section. The gist of the discussion is that C-section is performed under a number of complications of delivery, and is quite beneficial when easy birth otherwise is impossible. The effects of missing of certain neuro- transmitters getting activated during normal birth, and their consequences on babies future were also brought out in some articles included in links to main posts. When changes in philosophies come, the origin is often from academic community, researchers and acharyas. It appears that such people exist all round the globe. An article on Complications of C-section, written by a practicing Ob-gyn Professor from New York, written primarily under continuing education programme for physicians, is sent to this author by an ob-gyn friend. It is stored in folder 'articles', name of the file Complications_C-section.doc The author of above article is concerned by rising percentage of Elective C-sections. You can decide about it after going through the complete spectrum of risks to mom as well as baby. In the next post, author will discuss ayurvedic approaches as well as yoga philosophy in trying to minimise the possibility of emergency C- section. Ramdev Maharaj teachings in India also seem to help in such situations. Dr Bhate
