Guest guest
Dear List, No, this is not the name of a book written by Swami Vivekananda or any other savant for that matter. This is another future being revealed by UN and WHO reports who are worried at the trend of non communicable diseases (euphemistically called lifestyle diseases, but whose origin is yet to be revealed in the mainstream media) which are poised to take a heavy toll of lives in the developing countries. An expected 38 million people will probably die, many countries could become bankrupt due to medical care costs, cheap third world labour may no longer be so readily available to the MNC's. If you read the following article that has appeared in the Hindustan Times of 6th Oct, '05 you can have a glimpse of the future; http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1510790,0008.htm If we look at the communicable disease scenario, then savour this; http://www.telegraphindia.com/1051001/asp/foreign/story_5306918.asp Flu Pandemic can kill 150 million, says UN. Just as the official version of AIDS is that a green monkey bit a gay African on the butt, who went and spread it across the world, the bird flu virus has been traced to a bat that bit a pig. Are we small children that are being told fables to keep us quiet? Regards, Jagannath.
