October 2005 Monthly Vedic Horoscope

 

 

 

General

 

 

 

Mars stationed on October 1st. As the planet most implicated in any sort of

violence, this is no doubt linked to the Bali bombing that occurred that day.

Mars tends to be energizing to the point of overstimulation (like one too many

cups of coffee), so there may be an anxious or unsettled feeling in many people

in the days following the station.

here is also solar eclipse following closely on the heels of the Mars station on

the 3rd in the sign of Virgo, a difficult one-two punch. Patterns of thinking

and discrimination may undergo interruption or revision in the days following,

particularly if Virgo is strong in an individual's horoscope. Procedural matters

may be subject to unexpected change.

 

 

 

The early part of October is made even more stressful by the continued presence

of Pluto in a close quincunx with a near-stationary Mars. The need to exercise

power, especially at its most naked and cruel level, will be in evidence.

 

 

 

Neptune goes direct on the 26th, still within close proximity to an aspect from

Ketu. This is a time when water, disease, and fallen ideals may be more

prominent than usual. Out of discarded fantasies, however, new dreams are born.

 

 

 

ARIES (Apr 13 - May 13) The breakneck pace you were setting in September may

undergo a fundamental shift in October as Mars stations on the first of the

month and will be retrograde until December. Mars will still be in your first

house, however, so that will probably mean that you're as active and intense as

ever. The difference is that life may not come as easily now. Maybe you'll need

to take a long detour before you arrive at your (metaphorical) destination, or

perhaps you may be less sure of where you're going. Watch for changes or

surprises involving spouses and partners around the 18th. A business or work

relationship brings important news around the 22nd.

 

 

 

TAURUS (May 14 - Jun 14) After Venus enters Scorpio on the 2nd, expect to have

more social contacts this month. This is a good time to do business and it will

also be a nice time for making new friends and possibly beginning romantic

liaisons. Some of these contacts may have an unknown or distant quality to them,

either involving foreigners, or people who are isolated in some way. As Venus

transits Anuradha from the 7th to the 17th, you may feel the need to act in

secret or according to temporarily convenient standards of morality. This may

lead to sticky situations at work, especially around the 14th. Some stresses

connected with partners are likely towards the end of the month. The 25th to be

looks to be most difficult date.

 

 

 

GEMINI (Jun 15 - Jul 15) October promises to be a good month for you as Mercury

transits Libra, your 5th house. Children will figures prominently now and will

be a source of pride and happiness. Work will go well in general. Take a special

note of the 5th, as good news will arrive. You may also feel a sense of harmony

with the world and be inclined to perform service for others. You may volunteer

your time in the community, especially between the 9th and 19th, as Mercury

transits Swati. When Mercury catches Mars' aspect around the 21st, watch for

bullying from on high to throw a wrench into the works.

 

 

 

CANCER (Jul 16 - Aug 15) As Saturn slows down to its station in Cancer in

November, you may feel preoccupied with practicalities and duty in your life.

Therefore, this may not be a good time to engage in flights of fancy and

whimsical indulgences of creativity. Not to worry, there will be time enough for

that in the future. Home life will go well, especially in the first half of the

month. The 17th will be a pleasant time involving children and/or recreation.

Towards the end of the month, some irritation is likely. Remember that it's due

to the temporary influence of Mars and will pass soon enough. Don't overly

invest yourself in your positions at this time, and disagreements will be

fleeting.

 

 

 

LEO (Aug 16 - Sep 15) The emphasis this month will likely be on creativity and

starting new projects. While the Sun is in Virgo in the first half of October,

you can get down to the collecting and collating all the revelant facts and

impressions you will require. Then after the 15th, when the Sun moves into Libra

with Jupiter and Mercury, set aside the time you'll need to make those plans a

reality. Look for some good results around the 23rd. Home life will be

especially favourable until the 25th. Budget for repairs as some problems with

vehicles are more likely at the end of the month.

 

 

 

VIRGO (Sep 16 - Oct 16) October should be a good month, especially where money

and family are concerned. Real estate affairs go favourably for you, so this may

be a good time to buy or sell a home. You may pay more attention to aesthetic

concerns now, including fine foods and beautiful music. Some unexpected problems

will probably arise towards the end of the month, especially around the 22nd.

Slow down, take it easy, and don't get sideswiped.

 

 

 

LIBRA (Oct 17 - Nov 15) As Venus moves through your second house this month, you

find yourself more interested in artistic things, especially where they may be a

little out of the mainstream. So this is a good time to sidle up to a karaoke

bar and belt out a tune for an adoring crowd. Your efforts are likely to be

rewarded now as Jupiter has now moved into Libra where it will stay for the next

year or so. Be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity. You may

encoutner some opposition around the 19th that forces you to change your mind.

Your partner will be under pressure near the 26th, so make sure you're there to

lend a hand if needed.

 

 

 

SCORPIO (Nov 16 - Dec 14) Your famed ability to make quick and effective

decisions may be called for now as people around you will depend on you all the

more. With Mars retrograde, however, you may have to introduce more time for

reflection in order to get it right. Fortunately, things will improve as the

month progresses. Look for more female influence in your life as Venus moves

deeper into your first house. There will likely be some matter involving foreign

or isolated females on the 25th.

 

 

 

SAGITTARIUS (Dec 15 - Jan 13) The good news is that Jupiter, the Great Benefic,

has moved into your 11th house of gains; the bad news is its dispositor Venus

has moved into the 12th house of loss. Gains may come but may be reduced from

what was expected, or expenditures will be reduced thus producing a larger than

expected net gain. More specifically, gains this month may come through foreign

ventures. This should still be a favourable time at work as your communication

skills carry the day. Some noteworthy advance at work is likely around the 5th,

and your status will rise on the 21st.

 

 

 

CAPRICORN (Jan 14 - Feb 12) There will be the potential for new contacts this

month, but obstacles and pitfalls in your relations with other people will be

front and centre. Certainly the connection you have with other people will be

foremost in your mind now but it's important not to get frustrated with the

twists and turns of human interaction. If things take longer or don't go quite

as expected, then that is a sign that more time is needed to seal the deal.

Career matters generally go well as Jupiter has moved into your 10th house of

status and Venus moves into the 11th house of gains and income from work. The

16th looks good for meeting new people or just saying hello to an old friend.

 

 

 

AQUARIUS (Feb 13 - March 13) As Venus moves into your 10th house of career,

expect things to flow more smoothly at work. You can finally be recognized for

all the service you have been providing under the radar lately. Travel may not

be far from your mind as well, particularly in the second half of the month.

Even if you are looking for more excitement now, I would steer clear of war

zones. Heretical or conspiratorial ideas may also hold some appeal for you now,

as well as religious ideals more generally. Look for favours from above from the

14th to the 17th.

 

 

 

PISCES (March 14 - Apr 12) Jupiter has moved into your 8th house now so that

opens up the possibility of money coming from unearned sources such as family or

government. The 8th house focus also suggests that research activity may

Thanks. I think it is the Sun sign that you refer to in your post?

Can moon sign be as per dates? I thought it was as per moons

position in the horoscope.
