Medicine is both an art and a science.

If not, it will be run by Quacks.

As important as the Science of Medicine is, regardless of the Philosophies, for

each Philosophy is a Science of its own, it is equally an Art, right from

approach to the patient to the amount of drug / psychological input.

There is no higher calling ( other than religious orders) than that of a

physician.

And most Physicians do a lot of charity work, and take all the emergency calls,

which is nothing but a Service.
