There is a "Breath of Fire", also known as "Bellows Breath" or "Agni Pranam". This is done by pulling the naval in on the exhale and pushing the naval out like a balloon on the inhale. It is done rapidly and rhymthmicly about 3 breaths a second. It is almost like one is irritated by a feather in the nose. I usually refer to "hyperventilating" as using the upper part of the lungs and not using the diaphragm. Is one of these what you are refering to?
