Guest guest
I am attempting to obtain references in authoritative Ayurvedic texts (ancient or contemporary) to the herb known botanically as Coleus forskholii, and in India known as Makandi or Karpushvali. I am advised that historically it has been used as a treatment for congestive heart failure and for ashtma, as well as for convulsions and intestinal cramping. It has aroused attention in the west as a possible treatment for hypertension, obesity, and hypothyroidism. Any textual references or citations anyone may provide will be most gratefully appreciated! Namaste!
