Dear Dr Ketan,

There is another aspect of ayurveda, yoga and pranayama, that is

helping in tackling genetic disorders. Today's programme on Swami

Ramdev in the Astha channel was his interaction with people who have

thronged to his ashram seeking to learn yoga so that they can teach

others and spread the movement.

In this programme it gradually came to be revealed that many amongst

the learners were patients of chronic and genetic disorders who have

been cured by Swami Ramdev's brand of yoga and pranayama and have

decided to devote the rest of their lives to making available the

techniques to others.

The cases ranked from incurable cancer to severe heart disorders. A

gentleman had suffered from a hole in his heart and could not be cured

even by surgery. He had taken recourse to pranayama and has been

miraculously cured. Another gentleman had survived cancer. Particularly

interesting was the case of a lady with a long standing family history

of cancer. She herself had been subjected to radiation and

chemotherapy. Subsequently she came down with Parkinsonism. Treatment

of this disorder resulted in heart valve failure and she was given the

ultimatum by doctors. In that stage she was helped by a friend who

taught her the pranayama techniques. Today she is ready and fit enough

to be a yoga instructor herself.

It was a terrible and gut wrenching sight to see these strong Punjabi,

Sikh and Jat people break down and cry like little children as they

narrated their ordeals.

The Astha channel is available in the USA through DirecTV and in the UK

through SkyTv. The phone numbers in India are +91-22-28338001/02/03.

The channel is banned in Saudi Arabia and many Muslim countries for its

Hindu content. But Swami Ramdev does not distinguish between religions

and many Muslims take part in his programmes. Swamiji says he

recognises only one religion, humanism. Swami Ramdev is also available

on India TV and Sahara News channel on 7:30AM to 8:30AM and 6:30AM to

7:30AM IST respectively.

Swamiji has also requested BAMS doctors to contact him at his Patanjali

Yoga Institute, Haridwar, Uttranchal, India address so that he can

employ them for ayurvedic treatment and research. Ayurvedic MD's and

BAMS doctors with three years experience will be given preference.

Regards,

Jagannath.

Yes dr.. Yoga and pranayam etc have miracules effect

in the healing process of the body.... They have great

spiritual support for physical and mental well

being... but all therapy have their own concepts. Some

medicines provide more result in some cases like

immuno modulators. I have seen this with full data.

Thanks for reply. ..... Dr Ketan.
