Guest guest
Dear All, Hello, I am Prof.Dr.Aashish Phadke, from Mumbai.I am a quite reader of this group & I enjoy quite a lot long messages of D.Jagannath,Dr.Bhate, Dr.Dr.Mankiker ,Dr.Venu Gopal & many others.Let me wish all them a good Health & Big Thanks to them for letting me know so many things thro' their healthy discussion on this group ! Well , I could not resist myself giving my views over here on a discussion on whether or not Sarpagandha was been used for B.P . or not !! Let me say , that in our ancient text this term is not mentioned as all of us we know , but there are certain parallelism of group of symptoms & signs which are closely resembling to this condition. But well it was basically known to be used in conditions connected to Mind , after it was been established by Modern Medicine for lowering the B.P. we Ayurvedic Physicians started using it in our practice, but of course in a row form. After few years latter it was then found that the synthetic isomer of Reserpine was found out to be more dangerous than the crude one ! I would also like to say here that may be by mistake Dr.Jagannathji might have said that either Neeri or other one are made up with classical Ayurvedic way !! I would like to ask him to read the label carefully & check whether it contains extracts or not !! Any way ,I feel when we are using PC for this communication, we use pen to write with we travel by trains, plains or car, then why should not we use the 21st century technology to put up our Ayurveda in the modernise way ? The only thing we MUST NOT FORGET in all this process is that it (Ayurveda) should not loose its purity, genuinity ! Basic principles of Ayurved should never be compromised with such process ! There is a small request here ! Do we all know ( at least Ayurvedacharyas, Ayurved Vachaspati )we can not jump to conclusion & go on statin medications on net unless we have seen the patient, interogated him properly, with trividha or Ashtavidha Pariksha !! I understand the moto is to help others without any expectations , but don't you think even that can also leads to some problems ? But I should say Dr.Venu aptly adviced to one of the mail to go for Gen. Surgeon for operative procedure !That was a good aspect as well ! I think we need not debate on issues like C.Section on Ayurved groups , don't you think all these discussions although very interesting & informative , but still out of way to the subjects of ayurveda ! I am sorry, if I have crossed any one ! I appologise if any one felt odd with my comments. please join simillar discussion on newlystarted google group - Ayurveda_Yoga_for_all.Thanking you, With warm regards, PROF. DR. AASHISH PHADKE.
