Guest guest
Dear Friends, I have been accused of "raving and ranting". Let me say I am not alone. Approximately 50% of the worlds population is fired up against modern medicine. I suppose they are not doing this without reason. All the more so when mainstream doctors are joining their ranks. My friends know me as a "very cool chap". I rarely get annoyed, let alone attack anybody. Therefore when I "rave and rant" there is some reason behind it. I have been trying to point out the facts behind the current mess in the health care system in various groups. As I have said earlier, many people feel that with superficial changes modern medicine will once again win back the confidence of the masses. This idea is a vain chimera because it is modern medicine that is responsible for most of our current woes. I spoke of the string theory to point out the inherent holistic nature of the universe. Reductionism has no place in this world where consciousness rules and not matter. Therefore a system which sees "hearts" and "livers" instead of patients is not only superficial but downright dangerous. The sooner these ideas are dropped the better. Once a mainstream doctor argued with a health activist friend of mine in an NGO meeting on this issue. My friend just asked him what they mean by "multiple organ failure" and why does that suddenly take place. The doctor blurted out, "because all the organs are related" and then stopped abruptly realising the blunder he had committed. Therefore let us not be fooled by the alleged erudition and the technical terms used by the mainstream doctors. Let us listen to our common sense. We, the believers in holistic systems, believe in God unlike the modern doctors who say God is "unscientific". And we believe that cures exist in nature. Is it not strange that "scientific" man needs artificial medications and surgical procedures whereas the "wild animals" in the forests can remain healthy without them. They too are under a lot of stress having to constantly think of food and escaping from predators. Of course recetly environmental pollutants and pesticides in the food chain are taking a heavy toll of them. Very similiar to our own current fate where we find high levels of "Paxil" (an anitidepressant) and other medicines and pesticides in our drinking water and food. For those who watch "Animal Planet" must have seen a recent episode where a lioness bitten by a poisonous snake survived not only the venom but also the hyenas who wanted to make meat of her. The commentator wondered aloud at the protective power of nature. Let us not try to play God but shake hands with nature for our own benefit. Arrogance never does anyone any good. Regards, Jagannath.
