Guest guest
Hi all. I got a bad case of contact dertmatitis from using a product on my arms and legs. I mean really bad. I went to a walk in medical and they said the only thing they could do was give me an oral steriod to control the inflammation and that I should just put cortisone cream on it. Because I am in such pain I am doing it but I am also putting Aveeno collidal oatmeal mixed with yogurt as cold pack on my arms whenever I am home and taking a nice bath with Aveeno collidal oatmean and a pitta cooling oil. This really does help to reduce the redness and itching of my arms and legs so that I can sleep. I am also taking my daily tea with the dried herbs and powders of Dashamula, Punarnava and Brahmi as well as my nightly triphala drink. Is there anything thing that someone on this list can recommend that I do to help counter the bad affects of the steriod medication that I am taking. Any ideas or recommendations that you can give would be very helpful at this time. Thank you. Sophia
Guest guest
Dear Sophia, Here is the precription for your problem. 1)Chandanadi tailam+Nalpamaradi tailam in equal ratio. apply to the body and gently massage and keep for 1/2 an hour the have a bath.Use green gram dal powder in place of soap. 2)Maha manjistadi quath. 30 ml with equal water 2 times daily 1 hr after food 3)Guggulu tiktaka kashayam 15 ml mixed with 45 ml of boiled and cooled water 2 times daily 1 hr before break ast and dinner. In case you have constipation use Manibhadra leham 1 spoon at bed time. Continue these medicines till you get relief..... Mean while you need to discontinue oral steroid gradually(in a tappering dosage)... and avoid all other external applications.. Sophia Knapinsky <sofrita001 wrote: Hi all.
