ear blockage

Namaste, all -

I'm having a problem with my right ear. Ever since a bad

cold I had in June, it has felt blocked up. It doens't hurt,

and I seem to still hear things fine, but it feels strangely

blocked on the inside. I think I notice it more in the evenings,

too. Is there anything that Ayurveda can do to help? I also

had a problem similar to this during my pregnancy (I have

a 10 mo old baby now) and the ENT specialist said that

pregnant mothers have a higher chance than the rest of the

population to experience hearing loss, so it was good that

I was checked. He saw no problems at that time. Could this

somehow be related to that problem during pregnancy?

Blessings,

Connie

Hi,

I have a very good experience with the remedy that I want to share with you.

Take 150 ml of fresh urine from yourself, take 50 ml of good honey, mix

altogether and boil in a cooper pot until 1/2 of initial quantity. Filter the

liquid and keep in a dark and cold place. These are very good and effective

drops for ears, eyes and nose. Put 1-2 drops in the ear and close it with a

little cotton ball. Do it 2-3 times a day until relieved.

Good luck

It could be eustachian tube dysfunction. I have had it for several

years. It goes and comes. The only thing you can do about it to drink a

lots of water during that time and also do this exercise regularly -

Close your nostrils with your fingers and fill your mouth with air. You

will feel some pressure in the middle year. Do this several times in

the day.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions for the ear blockage.

Regarding the urine & honey practice, I don't have a copper

pot - are there other possibilities? Can you explain to me

why the drinking of urine will address the blockage of my

ear?

And yes, Himali, I'm guessing it is eustachian tube dysfunction,

although I don't have a Dr's assessment of that. I have had

problems with this in the past, too, before my pregnancy.

I still haven't gone to the ENT because it seems to be improving

in the last few days. When you suggest plugging the nose and

then inhaling into the mouth, should I hold my breath with my

mouth closed for a bit? Or just exhale? I don't feel much pressure

in my ears when I do it, maybe just a little. Fortunately the ear

doesn't hurt and isn't infected.

Blessings,

Connie

As to ear blockage, I suggested to use urine with honey to make drops into ears

and I told that these are very good drops for nose and eyes too, but you don't

need to drink this mixture, only eardrops.
