Guest guest
Hi, My son is 23 months and is not talking yet. How old is your son? And how did the Brahmi and Aswagandha help? I was thinking of starting my son on those as well. How did you buy these? Online? Please respond. Thanks. ayurveda, "mom2kuts" <mom2kuts> wrote: > I am giving Brahmi, Aswagandha (himalaya brand) to my son who has some speech delays and is diagnosed with Autism. Guest guest
Himalaya products have been found to have heavy metal contaminations. I would find a good source of herbs that do good quality control testing before you give the herbs do your child long term. If the herb is full of lead or mercury, you may end up doing more long term harm than good. Guest guest
Stores like Whole-foods have these drugs, but they are incredibly expensive. If you have an Indian-grocery store, sometimes they can special order it for you. Both Dabur and Baidyanath, the leading ayur. providers in Bombay send a fair stock to the US and this is accessible for the common herbs like Triphala churan, guggal, brahmi, ashwagandha, etc in the Indian stores. They are frequently used by a lot of Indian parents I know, even as daily supplements, since they always strengthen and aren't always "need" specific. --- malinik74 <malinik74 wrote: > Himalaya products have been found to have heavy > metal contaminations. > I would find a good source of herbs that do good > quality control > testing before you give the herbs do your child long > term.
