Guest guest
As far as I know, Gonorrhea and Syphilis were hard to treat by "pure" ayurvedic herbs. One needed Rasayanas---compounds with metals, and STDs were difficult to treat even with Rasayanas. Gonorrhea, inadequately treated, leads to systemic complications, and can lead to arthritis, uveitis ( inflammation of eyes) and in worse cases kidney disease, and rarely neurologic symptoms. I said Rarely, because, it is adequately treated now with antibiotics. There is also an untreatable ( difficult to treat ) strain of Vietnam Gonorrhea. On this issue, it is not like "raising" your immunity level with herbals. It needs agressive treatment, and should not be handled by amateurs. First of all, you should "see" a Doctor, ( Ayurvedic or otherwise ), and get a proper diagnosis, and please do not follow any prescription on this chat line from people that say "try this or that or anything, but just try" !!!! Gonorrhea is not treated by " trying". Regardless of the strong opinions of some on this chat line, it should not be a "prescriptive" line, because Ayurveda is not a prescriptive branch of medicine that can be generalized. It is patient specific and should be treated by a qualified Vaidya only. It is OK to spread knowledge, as to what may work and what may not. That is fine. It is also OK to debate esoteric issues. But, no patient should attempt to take any medications / herbals/ rasayanas without being seen by a Vaidya first. It should be emphasized very strongly that unless you know all the principles involved with Ayurveda, please do not attempt to treat yourself. Do all of the ones you listed need to be taken or just any one? I'm based in the US so don't have access to these readily, any recommendations as to how we can find these/obtain them here? I've never really taken antibiotics or allopathic medicine and rely strongly on Triphala, Sudarshan, Arogya vardhini and Guggal for my daily supplements.
