This is like discussing Origin of Life or Origin of knowledge and any discussion

on this topic is itself puerile, because it precedes civilization or language or

words.

I agree with Asis, that it perhaps started with symptoms, when the first "cave

man / woman" had fever, pain, diarrhea or cough. And Asis is again correct in

the vast number of years before the knowledge of Herbal cure was discovered, and

again several generations before the Vata/ pitta/ kapha theory was developed. It

is only a continuation of life and of knowledge. Knowledge includes adverse

knowledge, knowledge of problems, misadventures and allergies, and what works

and what does not. From this will develop the next phase of Integrated Medicine.

There is no alternative to a Surgical repair of a broken hip, or for angioplasty

or Pacemekers, or anesthesia. Unless we find radical cures for these problems,

it is worthless to argue. People, even well meaning people, who are biased will

not see beyond their bias. That is not the same as "education".

Namaskar. It is obvious that you are more of a scientist than a

medical person. This very thing is the bane of modern medicine.

Today's scientists are physical scientists. They find it very

difficult to go beyond matter. And matter cannot form the basis for

studying the creation called man.

I agree with you Sir. Some people will prefer biting their own hand

than listen to reason. We must learn to forgive such people and pray to

God for their welfare.

Jagannath.
