Dear Dr. Bhate,

Namaste. You are right in pointing out that long term effects of drugs,

vaccinations and standard medical procedures are never carried out.

This is a matter of extremely serious concern.

In case of drug tests, blind testing is undertaken where a batch of

people are given the medicine, some are given placebos and some no

medicine at all. Then the results are verified and the drugs are

passed. But no effort is made to study the effects of prolonged use.

The drugs are withdrawn only after a few thousand people are reported

dead or blind or whatsoever. The victims in industrialised nations sue

the pharmaceutical companies but in developing countries patients are

not even told that the drugs are the reason behind their subsequent

suffering.

In case of vaccinations, the testing is done on animals before being

tried on human beings. In India, as in other developing countries, very

few people are aware of the dangers of vaccinations. Beside the process

itself raising many questions, the vaccinations are laced with mercury,

aluminium, formaldehyde etc. which are used to preserve the

vaccinations. There are lakhs of reported cases where parents of

children have complained to the authorities that their sick children

were perfectly alright before the first shot of vaccinations. But the

concerned Govt's paid no heed. Then these people formed an organisation

called the NVIC, National Vaccine Information Centre, to highlight

their plight. The issue has come to the fore but little is being done

to curb the menace. The website is www.nvic.org.

The Indian Media has also reported how the vaccinations have been made

unsafe by the use of various dangerous chemicals and how the parents

are now fighting the system. The following links contain such an

article and my inputs on the same subject.

Similiarly for other medical procedures. Till the other day

tonsillectomy was performed on almost all children. Then after bad

effects and even deaths were reported now we hear less about this

operation. You have also in recent posts informed about surgically

induced childbirth. Gall bladder operations where the entire bladder is removed

is also fraught with grave danger. There are several mainstrem doctors who are

trying to educate the medical community against undertaking non essential

surgeries just for the lure of money. Many doctors routinely perform surgery as

it is most often the easiest way out. Post surgical complaints that patients

have to undergo are never highlighted.

Today the scene is very scary with even common drugs like aspirin,

ibuprofen, nemusilide, many pain killers, and oral contraceptives being on the

watch list. Drugs like enteroquinol and sulfabutamol are banned in the developed

countries but continue to be sold in the developing countries. Now there is a

movement in India to try and force the pharmaceutical industry to list all

possible side effects on the labels itself. Usually this literature is given

only to doctors.

Using highly toxic drugs on the human body is a procedure no sane

individual approves of. But these chemicals bring in money. It is like plastic,

very convinient but dangerous for the environment. If we just take a minute to

ponder what toxic drugs can do to the human body one cannot but be shocked.

Taking allopathic drugs is more dangerous than smoking cigarettes. At least the

smoker knows the dangers but the p atient thinks he is taking something that is

beneficial for his health.

Regards,

Jagannath.
