Vegetarianism in Kerala

I agree with the post that states that vegetarinism is not common in

Kerala. Most Hindus eat eggs, fish and chicken with large percentage

eating large variety of animal foods. Some of my best friends and

family members call themselves vegetarians but they take eggs and fish

daily. My observation is that a large percentage of peoples from all

classes eat mainly rice, sambar, and meat or eggs as their staple

diet - many people rarely eat vegetables on a daily basis - many do

eat fruits reguarly.
