Integrated Medicine to me, is an MD learning Alternative Medicine and trying to Practice it, ( not to criticize it or trying to deride it). I see the other end, of an Ayurvedic Vaidya prescribing Paracetamol or antibiotics, and that is perhaps because he wants to make a quick buck, or because his patients demand it, or because his much learned methods have failed. Only time will tell as to what works and in which conditions. Perhaps, we should try ayurveda / homeopathy first, and when it fails, try Modern medicine. But, the patient needs to be committed to the physician for that long, and not abandon him / her for another "modern" physician. Many such patients "talk" to other patients, and one gets a " bad reputation", and fewer patients visit such a physician. Be that as it may, let us look at "healthier children". Before deriding vaccines totally, let us look at what happened with traditional medicine, in the face of a small pox or cholera epidemic. Thousands died. Until antibiotics and vaccinations controlled the widespread outbreaks. Perhaps 95 % were protected, and obviously 3 to 5 % is a big number with all these immunity problems or autism or whatever. But, society ( translation---Parents ) would opt for vaccinating their kids and protecting them. Same thing for Cardio-vascular disease . Congestive heart failure is "controlled" with digitalis. So are other life threatening irregular heart beats. And so on............! Let us learn both the systems and choose the best.
