The ideal State of Health has been defined by both Ayurveda as well as by WHO.

All Psychiatrists have referred to this " Ideal State" and most Physicians are

quite aware of it.

But, I beg to differ with you. does it so well, in arguing all these esoteric definitions, like the one on

the Hippocratic Oath, that I am sure he is itching to handle this one, and I'll

let him do so "passionately".

Where I beg to differ with you is on the level of Passions. You write so

passionately, it would deprive you and the rest of us your inner thoughts, if

one were to "make you emotionally healthy"--by your definition.

Vedanta does not make a difference between your "emotional or mental" well

being. It lumps it together. Ahamkar--egotism is your sense of "I" ness, and can

be good and bad depending on your emotions. Passion per se is not necessarily

bad, if it is for music or writing or something physical like playing golf.

You'll have to give a proper qualifying adjective to Passion to make your point,

but I leave you to your definitions.

Ideal state of health.

The definition of an ideal state of health according to Prof. George Vithoulkas

The person who is really healthy on all three levels of his being physical

emotional and mental has:

Freedom from pain on the physical level with a feeling of well being,

Freedom from passions on the emotional level with a state of dynamic calmness

Freedom from egotism and selfishness on the mental level while the person feels

unity with Truth or God or the world of ideas.

There is a possibility that a person will be healthy on one level while on

another level can be extremely sick.

Dear Dr. Durgesh,

Namaste.

I fully agree with you Sir. Ahamkara has to be handled very carefully

lest it gets the better of you.

Regards,

Jagannath.
