Guest guest
Teji Rahi Just as mind drives body, the food eaten causes exciting or dampening of endocrine glands function, giving rise to the properties such as satva, rajas, tamas of foods. Now body drives mind. The file Food_Properties.doc in folder "articles" of group website summarises in a very concise form the properties of food items causing excess unbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha (+) or reducing the unbalance (-) or neutral (=) for particular dosha. The warming or cooling (Ushnaveerya or sheet veerya) properties are also included in this file. Approximate Connection of the Satva, Rajas, Tamas guna with doshas is Satva = Kapha Rajas = Pitta Tamas = Vata Though several foods are warming and Pitta enhancers, they are not aphrodisiacs. Garlic and onion have special properties to promote certain hormones. Advantage of this property can be taken to increase the height of children. They will grow tall, but with added short temper, giving Tamas mind. The file can be used by all to balance their diet.
