Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have some questions regarding my digestion. I have started to have gas (belching, heartburns etc)practically at all times during the day for the past 2-3 weeks. I dont know my Vata/Kapha or Pitta type, but I eat simple vegetarian food during the weekdays and non-veg sometimes over the weekend....My husband likes lot of puris/parathas and stuff like that, so I oblige by making him lot of those... Kindly advise the dietary alterations/ ayurvedic supplements to be taken so that I can be relieved of this problem. I feel very exhaused and tire easily upon doing lill work. Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from all of you! Have a great weekend!! Warm regards Bhairvi
Guest guest
hi you should take care of constipation. if you have constipation taking powder of trifala(three fruits namely harar, bahera, amla is powedered after removing their seeds and drying in shade).you take one or two tea spoons at bed time with warm water or milk.if this does not remove your constipation then the quantity of harar need to be increased in the powder other wise equal ratio will do. If you do not have constipation and getting gas the powder of jeera one spoon or jeerakarishta 30ml after lunch and dinner with water will help. "J.P." > I have some questions regarding my digestion. Guest guest
Looks as though you have a Vata imbalance (gas, belching, exhaustion) that overtime may have pushed Pitta out of balance too (burning). Based on your symptoms, you also have a variable digestion (Vishmagni) due to weak Jathargni. If your digestion comes to normal, all the imbalances will be corrected. (1)Make a strong Dipana decoction of Chai masala and Ginger paste.Basically, add two tsps each of chai masala, fennel powder and ginger paste to three cups of water and allow it to boil until it is reduced by 50%. Take this strong decoction several times in a day. (2) Start on a monodiet of 1:1 Rice/Moong Dhal kitcheree for one week. (3) Avoid all forms of cold items. Take warm water between meals. In a week's time you should see a drastic change in your health. Post your condition in a week's time and I will recommend further dietary changes. Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vichheye Namaha!!! Guest guest
Hello Bhairvi, If you make the decoction as I suggested, it will be very strong. Take few sips and if you like it, continue taking it. If you think it is too strong, dilute it with warm water. Remember, this is unlike any medicine, so there is no restriction as to how many glasses you should drink or for how long you need to continue. If you develop a taste for it, continue taking it as long as you wish. My patients have continued taking this decoction daily for months together. Whenever your mind and body craves for wine/beer/juice/ beverage, just go for the decoction. It's very helpful. Also remember that your faith in Ayurveda corrects 75% of your imbalance. Just say this mantra "Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vichheye Namaha"!!! each time before you take the decoction. Regarding your question on fennel: it is called Sounf in Hindi, Vareeyali in Gujrati, 'Badishep' in Marathi and Sombhu in Tamil. It is similar to Jeera in shape and usually kept at the exit door of Indian restaurants. It is available as seeds or powder in all indian grocery stores. Fennel is a very good dipana, carminative, digestive stimulant and is cooling. Thus it will neutralize the pungent effects of Chai masala and Ginger. The combination of these three is very potent in relieving all kinds of digestive imbalances.
