Guest guest
Dear Dr Bhate, I fully agree with what you had to say on the matter. I too thought of airing my views but I was held back by memories of a discussion on the benefits/effects of celibacy that I had initiated sometime ago but was greeted by messages from members who commented that the matter was "too obscene" to be discussed. However I observed no such comments on this issue. Anyway, I have also read that love during pregnancy makes the natal fluid acidic and also has some effect on the umbilical feeding of the baby. Not only during pregnancy love is also not good while the baby is being weaned on the mothers milk. Most cases of child dysentery, paediatric IBS and digestive disorders are due to the parents being over affectionate during that period. I came to know about these facts when I was learning homeopathy from a learned homeopath. In India it was the usual practice for the bride to be sent to her fathers house during pregnancy. She was brought back to her home after the child was initiated into solid food in a ceremony called "annaprashan". Regards, Jagannath.
