Guest guest
Try not travelling so much, going to counseling about the death of your father, cutting out the junk food, eating a whole foods organic diet, get a massage once a week, drink cool liquids, spend time near streams and waterfalls, and go swimming often, and meditating deeply to the state of superconsciousness. That should be a great start. Ryan In a message dated 6/21/2005 12:50:02 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, lady_idrial writes: I am pitta prakrti and vata vikrti with a severe vata imbalance. Guest guest
Good Morning, I am pitta prakrti and vata vikrti with a severe vata imbalance. This imbalance has been coming on for some time now with the death of my father, too much traveling, improper foods for my type and has shown itself in a large weight gain (40 pounds), rheumatoid arthritis and a cavity as well as sleep and digestion disturbances and a general sense of being out of balance, lost. I am confused as to whether I eat a more strict pitta diet to bring it all into balance or do I eat a vata diet to calm the vata. I always have trouble in the summer. I am extremely heat sensitive and do not handle the summers very well. I thrive in late fall and winter. I crave water activities and more water/fluids to drink. I find comfort in streams, waterfalls, rain, I sleep outdoors during thunderstorms, things like that. I hope you can help me. I am struggling right now and need guidance. Guest guest
Keeping a regular routine (and elimination) is key to pacifying vata. Emphasize foods that pacify both vata and pitta - especially sweet rasa; grains, seeds, dairy. Rubbing castor oil on the joints may help the arthritic pain. Meditation and pranayama. Treat the vikruti, first. ascendwv wrote: Try not travelling so much, going to counseling about the death of your father, cutting out the junk food, eating a whole foods organic diet, get a massage once a week, drink cool liquids, spend time near streams and waterfalls, and go swimming often, and meditating deeply to the state of superconsciousness. Guest guest
THIS helps me, thank you very much John. I didn't know whether to treat the vikruti first or as secondary. Now I know Idrial.
