Bear-Garlic?

Hello,

 

I was wondering if anybody knows of "bear garlic". My vaidya told me to stay

away from regular garlic and the onion families yet bear -garlic is okay and

should be used. He said that the bulbs are quite large in size like elephant

garlic but it is a medicinal or used as such. He didn't have a latin name for

me so I tought I'll try my luck here.
