Hi Dr Bhate (and all esteemed members of the group),

I have always been interested with Ayurveda for the sole reason that it

dwells and tries to resolve the root cause than the symptom which makes

a lot of sense.

Though allopathy does provide immediate cures I guess over the long run

it would always help to switch over to Ayur/Homeo therapies. Limited

marketing and long durations for Ayurveda and Homeopathy probably limit

the number of people walking this path. Would you think that

Vata/Pitta/Kapha, Heat/Cold is an analysis at a subtler level, a level

that we probably are too rugged to be analysed/cured with due to current

day habits of eating fatty foods, heavy muscle building, aggressive

thinking, stress etc and if the body system is to be turned mild before

expecting any of the cures to work (effectively).

However I wonder at times if all health issues are related to a person'

thinking pattern and hence the Vata/Pitta/Kapha doshas. Do you think

that changes to thinking process should be the ultimate cure or that the

herbs releated to Ayurveda bring about the required change to the mental

state/balance. I am actually trying to understand if it's just the

chemical composition of the herb that brings about the cure or if it's

more than that. Please do let me know your comments,

I guess the you were suggesting earlier for meditation is

AdvancedYogaPractices/ .

Best Regards,

Prashanth
