Guest guest
Dr. Bhate spoke about Iatrogenic diseases. An interesting thing happened to my sister. Last SSaturday, she had a pain in her abdomen. Evidently, it hurt quite a bit since she went to the hospital. A few years ago something similiar happened to her and they diagnosed her as having "twisted intestines". She is a "high strung " person. They operated on her then. This time they did tests on her and they found out nothing. She was on IV's for 5 days. She is not into natural health like I am but I thought it was pretty amazing to be in the hospital for that long with nothing to show for it. Do any vaidyas have any idea of what was wrong with her? I told her to take some probiotics and some carmitave herbs GB Khalsa Obstetric intervention caused diseases has become an important topic for discussion on this group as seen by number of recent posts. Why not? while ayurveda is considered the science of longevity, it must also address the issue of birth, the starting of life. Everyone wishes to live infinitely long leaving his off springs behind, so that in a way, life is extended infinitely.
Guest guest
Hi GB if you are looking for distinctions between sattva, rajas and tamas, this is a perfect illustration hard to say what the problem is without more info, but it probably was simple colic, perhaps related to IBS if it was IBD then they would have seen it; same with an obstruction, diverticuli or strangulation tell her take some extra vitamins A,C,E and zinc to speed healing, along with herbs such as self-heal, plantain, calendula, and mullein some comfrey or St. John's Wort salve/oil to rub over the surgical wound as far as diet is concerned, suggest no flour/dairy/sugar, food combining and digestive support (enzymes, dipanapachana herbs etc.) Caldecott www.toddcaldecott.com > An interesting thing happened to my sister.
