Guest guest
Dear That was very good post on the vegetarianism issue. I think whether to be vegan or not depends on your body type. Some people would be better with a non-veg diet whereas patients of certain diseases like stomach ailments, arthritis, piles/fissures etc would be better on a vegan diet. Whereas vegetarianism is not explicitly recommended in ayurveda, the physicians often ask patients to go in for a light diet when ill. I tend to avoid non-veg food because they don't agree with me. Being a bengali this diet is a variation of my cultural type. I feel very lethargic for a few days if per chance I am forced to take non-veg items. It also increases my ama. I guess it is all individual preference. One should experiment and see what is best for ones body. Thank you, Jagannath.
