Guest guest
VP, male, 58, residing in desert climate. I have been to a dermatologist who has ruled out skin cancer. This is a circular outbreak on the forehead, slightly smaller than a dime. Duration, approx 30 months. Possible source: hand-me-down motorcylce helmet. Does not respond favorably to any oils or moisturizers (dermatologist's suggestion). Dandruff shampoo and athlete's foot cream seem to help - certainly less bleeding. I have been using the dandruff shampoo for a month and tried the athlete's foot cream for a week. I am not averse to continuing the shampoo and cream. I am very interested in Ayurvedic approaches, internal or external.
Guest guest
Are you sure it is not ringworm? It sounds like it. Another thing, is it painful? This isn't ayurvedic that I know of, but it may work. You might try tea tree oil. It seems to work wonders for skin problems. I know for a fact it kills plantar's warts (which are also contagious) very well. If it is a fungus, it might respond to Vick's salve. There is a newspaper doctor here who tells people that to cure toenail thickening and fungus, you use Vick's salve twice a day for as long as it takes and it works. I have tried it and it works better than anything else I have tried. You did get another helmet, right? If it is ringworm and you keep using the same helmet, you will keep reinfecting yourself, maybe. Darla Wells On 6/2/05, zjohnallan <zjohnallan wrote: > VP, male, 58, residing in desert climate.
