Guest guest
I have a 40 year old female patient who has hay -fever allergy, chronic sinusitis and asthma. Also she suffers from Pancreaitis. I prescribed her Lung Formula, Immune Support and Nasya oil from Banyan botanicals for her respiratory problems. She was also taking several anti-histamine and anti inflammatory pharmaceutical medication. Now after a few days of taking these herbs she has reported that she has puffy lips and worries that it may be due to the Ayurvedic herbs. I know Banyanbotanicals are highly reputable so their medicines are not a problem. However , my question to Vaidyas is Is there a possibility of interaction between the herbal and pharmaceutical medication. My take on this is that there is some immune restructuring going on that has possibly caused the swollen lips. Anyway I have advised her to stop taking all medications for now. I look forward to your feedback on this issue of possible herbal- pharmaceutical drug interactions. Thank you for your time Vaidyas Ray S Noronha
