Guest guest
Dear Nirayana 'Shodhit Gandhak' mentioned by Cubervaidya is also available from same pharmacy, i.e. Baidynath However, shodhit gandhak, even when mixed with some other bhasma in significant ratio, and even if taken with honey/ghee, may sometime cause partial destruction of intestinal flora. Be cautious while using Shodhit Gandhak. Guest guest
Thank you for their answers. I have been sick of poliarthritis rehumatic during 6 years and I have experienced many medicine methods but none worked. In the last months I have practiced with amaroli and now I am almost totally healthy. Now I want to take bhasma of sulfur and mica in my amaroli. Best wishes to all. : > > Dear Niryana, > > Mica is known as abhraka and sulphur as gandhak. > > While bhasma is prepared from abhraka, no bhasma is prepared from > > gandhak. Guest guest
I would like to echo Dr. Bhate. Products containing sulfur are powerful medicines and should only be used by experienced practioners -in very carefully selected cases - and under ongoing supervision. This is another example where people have gotten the wrong idea that because medicines are 'natural' they are harmless. The practice of Ayurvedic medicine is based on Mahabhuta theory - therefore the medicines and theraputics used in Ayurveda are based on the quality of the substance in relationship to the quality of the disease as they interact with the quality of the patient. Therefore the selections of medicines is a precise and complicated science and one only successfully practiced by those trained and experienced in these scientific issues. Shodhit Gandhak even if purified in the most proper manner remains an extremely hot substance and must be used with caution - as it is contraindicated in many people. I have not seen Shodhit Gandhak achieve anything that cannot be acheieved in other ways - with less complications.
