Guest guest
Do a search on the web for "Vacha" aka "Acorus Calamus." It helps people speak more clearly and is often used for speech impediments. > What can Ayurveda do for speech impediments? Guest guest
Dear Manuel, According to ayurveda speech impediments are considered as of vata dosha. There is a decription of 3 diseases in ayurveda ,they are MOOKATWA,MINMINA,GADGADA BHASHANAM. In BHAISHAJYA RATNAWALI there is a meidicine called "KALYANA CHURNA" a multi herbal formulation. In my practice i had excellent result with this medicine. Vacha as a single also indicated, but dose and anupana(adjuvant) must be determined by a experienced physician according to the need, other wise it gives vomitings to the patient. Guest guest
Dear Manuel Maya, Yes, we can work on this problem with Ayurveda as well. But have you done the confirmed diagnosis? Please send the details. I think we need to even give certain verbal exercises in Sanskrit (which I have given along with the medicines & found out to be useful in certain cases). Thanking you, With regards, Prof. Dr.Aashish Phadke,Mumbai,India www.ayurvision.com
