Hi to all group members & Doctors

> I found the pregnancy do's and don't s by Dr. Bhate very useful.

Could anybody post something on post natal / after delivery care. How to take

care of one's body for the first six weeks after delivery , so that the body

heals up properly and also the milk production increases to enable mother

breastfeeding.

Regards,

Sraboni

SatNam Sraboni Ji,

The first 40 days after the birth of a child is very important boding

time for mother and child. It is good to have someone take care of

meals and cleaning, etc so mother can bond with baby.Do not do heavy

work for 40 days after childbirth, and even then have someone else do

it!Mother needs to have sattvic food. A curry with turmeric and ginger

and yogurt is very good for mother. Give unpeeled fresh almonds

sauteeed in ghee, and yogi tea as much as mother can drink can drink.

If very weak and she doe not sleep sometimes at night, take 1/2 oz. of

Dr's Brandy (100 proof) or Chatri, salt-weakened brandy and mix with

warm organic milk, 2-4t honey, 10-15 soaked and peeled almonds. . In

the morning take 1-2oz of pure organic ghee. Mother will becme as a

virgin after childbirth if above is taken according to yogic notes.

During 40 days after childbirth eat sagu beans and honey and milk and

make a kind of milk pudding with it. It is a predigested food with a

lot of protein and heals the inner organs and also a very good

laxative.
