Guest guest
dear igor blessings to you on your journey to healing and love i have learned a number of things about this condition that i can share with you while MS is a vattika disorder, the original cause for it is ama, and specifically, the ingestion of heavy, sticky and greasy foods that are improperly digested, and enter into systemic circulation and disrupt the function of vata - in this way, MS is an ama-vata condition this is why typical treatments normally used only to reduce vata such as oil massage and steam won't work in MS and may in fact make it worse - attention must be directed to removing the cause (i.e. ama) by ensuring proper digestion and the elimination of ama, and using vata-reducing herbs side by side to balance the effects of eliminating the ama you should seek out the guidance of an experienced practitioner in this regard, because treatment is long term - if they are using an ayurvedic intervention, make sure they understand the idea that MS is not just a vata disorder i strongly recommend you download the e-book written by the late dr mana bajracharya: http://www.ebookmall.com/ebooks/ayurvedic-concept-of-multiple- sclerosis-bajracharya-ebooks.htm while avoiding most kinds of heavy, greasy foods is a good idea, there is much benefit in consuming oils rich in omega 3 fatty acids, such as fish oil, flax oil, hemp oil and perilla oil - these fats should really be the ONLY fats and oils you consume on a regular basis these fats will help to reduce inflammation and prevent ongoing degeneration of the myelin the specific advantage of taking the fish oil, and in particular fish liver oil, is that you get adequate amounts of vitamin D - there is significant evidence that a vitamin D deficiency is at play in MS - this is seen in the epidemiological evidence, which shows the prevalence and incidence of MS is much greater the further the patient lives from the equator as a result, you should make sure you expose your body to the rays of the sun for at least 20-30 minutes a day, as well as take an additional vitamin D3 supplement found in fish liver oil another beneficial intervention is the avoidance of commonly consumed foods including dairy (e.g. milk, butter, cheese, yogurt) and grains (especially wheat, rye, barley, corn and oats) - there are several case reports of people having incredible results by implementing a paleolithic style diet you can review the diet here: http://www.toddcaldecott.com/paleodiet.html and the concept of autoimmune and disease treatment here: http://www.toddcaldecott.com/autoimmune.html you can also do a google search by typing in "paleolithic multiple sclerosis" - you will get many interesting links lastly, we often find that MS represents a kind of spiritual apathy that must be overcome - of course, all God seekers experience this at some point, but in MS specifically a dynamic exists whereby this apathy is deeply internalized - if this sounds like you, then you must do your best to overcome it in every element of your life, to receive the divine blessing and infinite love that is there for you, right beside and all around you love todd Caldecott www.toddcaldecott.com >I'm from Croatia and have multiple sclerosis (primary- > progressive type I think, since I don't have relapses but rather slow progression).
