Guest guest
I remember reading an article about using henna to color hair during pregnancy. I can't remember whether it should be avoided or if it is okay to continue using it. Can anyone please enlighten me on this issue - is it okay to continue using henna to color hair during pregnancy?? Guest guest
I have never hear of any toxic effects of henna but if there is a chance of hurting your baby at all then why take it. There really is no decision here just stay with your natural hair for a few months.... Noel Gilbert
Guest guest
People have used henna for body art during pregnancy for thousands of years -- it is believed to bring about an easy birth and a healthy child... So I would not think hair would be different. Don't take this as medical advice, but I would continue to dye my hair using henna if I got pregnant again. One thing though, make sure it is really just henna - there are "natural" hair dyes that contain metal salts - do not use one of these. Use pure henna only. BTW, Light Mountain Henna is not pure henna even though they say it is! -Jen
