Guest guest
in some cases spicy herbs can be very effective in migraine but it depends on the dynamics of blood flow to the head you could generally divide headaches into two categories: those with increased blood flow (vasodilation), and those with deficient (vasoconstriction) in the case of vasoconstriction, spicy herbs like shunthi, pippali etc can open up the cerebral arteries and restore blood sometimes you can tell by applying either heat or cold to the back of the neck, i.e. heat improves vasoconstrictive headaches, but worsens vasodilatory ones; vice versa for cold in ayurvedic terms your headache was probably caused by excess kapha severe migraines in my experience are usually pitta and or pitta/vata these often require a different measure, such as working on the liver, using more powerfully cooling remedies.
